Jennifer Fink

Jennifer Fink is the Freight Factoring Operations Manager at altLINE, the factoring division of The Southern Bank Company.

A Lovell, Wyo. native, Jennifer joined altLINE in 2024 to help launch altLINE’s freight factoring program, bringing with her eight years of experience in the factoring industry and 18 years in the general trucking industry.

Her journey has taken her cross-country, beginning in her home state of Wyoming, where she worked in rural warehouses assisting drivers with check-ins and check-outs. After learning the ins and outs of the industry while working on-site and in various customer service roles, Jennifer then became a freight broker and moved to Portland, Ore.

As a broker, Jennifer learned more about the common challenges that carriers are faced with, particularly when it came to cash flow problems due to long payment terms. She recalls one early morning in particular where she found herself covering $300 in lumper fees at 3:00 AM with her personal debit card.

So when she transitioned to freight factoring, she already had an idea of what specifically carriers were looking for from factoring companies and what their pain points would be. Jennifer’s firsthand experience working closely with drivers has allowed her to carefully evaluate situations from a carrier’s point of view and navigate challenges accordingly throughout her career. In turn, this has helped her cultivate numerous long-term relationships with trucking business owners nationwide who have worked with Jennifer to factor their receivables.

Jennifer takes pride in her transparency and attention-to-detail when communicating with truckers. She highlights three qualities of a good funding provider: transparency, honesty, and efficiency. And knowing the reputation this form of funding has for involving lengthy, complex contracts, she’s made sure altLINE’s freight factoring contracts are as concise and straightforward as possible.

Jennifer currently resides in Pelham. Ala, with her husband, Charles. She has one son, Peyton. When she’s not working, Jennifer enjoys spending time at the gym, at the beach, and with her pitbull, Loki.
